Playin' at the skate park

So last night we decided to take the boys down the street to the local skate park - one of there very favorite things to do. But I was surprised to see Paige come out with the camera. I asked her why, and her reason was so that she could get some pictures of the boys for the blog! We never take that camera anywhere. So if starting this blog encourages us both to take more pictures of the kids, then that alone will be worth it. Since she made the effort, I decided to post several of our favorite pictures on our blog. Hope you enjoy..... (and as a side note, I would have about giving anything as a kid to have such a cool place to play.)

Zachary Preston Hinckley

And finally, here is baby Zac. He just turned 6 months old on the 17th. He was our St. Patrick's day baby. In fact, Austin wanted his middle name to be "green" in honor of the holiday. I think he is a little bit Irish because of his birthday. Anyway, Zac is my favorite. You can tell he is mine, he is a chunk just like his dad. Yes, it is okay if you laugh at his chubby cheeks and sausage fingers. I have gotten him used to it. For being number 3 for us, he sure has been a wonderful baby. He has been leaps and bounds better than Lance at Austin during the first 6 months, as far as being more of a sleeper, and more of a calm baby. Paige deserves it. His current nickname is "Zac attack", though he does qualify for some other names, he is a stinker, literally. But I will wait until he gets older for the more fun ones.

Austin Matthew Hinckley

This is Austin. He is 4 years old as of his last birthday, which was August 6th. He is my favorite. One of his favorite things to do is "snuggle" with dad. It's dad's favorite thing too. He has a spot close to my heart, as most mornings he wakes up to say, "let's just stay in bed all day!" Gotta love that! He is currently in preschool with some of his friends. He really has a good time, and even got to go to the firestation in Stansbury Park yesterday for a field trip. Austin says some of the goofiest and funniest things for a 4 year old. None of which I can remember right now, but that is why Paige will be doing most of the posts....
But remembering our kids this way and the things they say are a lot of the reasons we wanted to start blogging. Austin, when Lance reads this to you, mom and dad love you very much! I have about a million nicknames for all of the boys, and can't think of a favorite one for Austin right now. I think I have been using "pumpkin butt" the most lately. I like to stick to the seasons with my nicknames.

Lance Jonathan Hinckley

This is Lance. He is our oldest, having turned 6 on June 10th this year. He is my favorite. We love to have all kinds of fun together, and he loves to play - non-stop. In fact, it is currently 9p and Paige is going to get him from the neighbors right now. Good thing it is Friday. He is in 1st grade at Rose Springs Elementary, and his teacher is Mrs. Fairchild. He says that he likes her, but I don't remember liking any of my teachers back then....
He does really well in school. He is an excellent reader, can count to "infinity", and is really good at math. He is a wonderful son, and a perfect addition to our family. Lance, since you can read, Mom and Dad sure love you. Our favorite nickname for him right now is "butt-thunder 5000". See, can't you tell Paige really loves a house full of boys?
